Event
This hands-on workshop is part of the Make Art Work series from The School of Illustration, delivered at the Barbican Creative Hub.
It is designed to support illustrators, artists and creatives who want to move into commercial illustration, helping you understand where your work fits and how to take the next step towards building a sustainable creative career.
Illustration is a broad and varied industry and finding your place within it can feel unclear. This session focuses on helping you identify your strengths, define your direction and begin shaping a professional pathway that works for you.
About The School of Illustration
The School of Illustration is led by our Creative in Residence Nick Moffatt, a freelance illustrator with over 25 years of industry experience.
Nick has worked with clients including Google, Microsoft and the BBC, creating work across film, television, animation, children’s publishing, comics and more. Alongside his commercial work, he has over a decade of experience lecturing at UK universities across illustration, graphic design, concept art and comics.
Through The School of Illustration, Nick supports creatives in developing both the mindset and practical tools needed to build a career from their work.
