This collaborative workshop is part of the Make Art Work series by The School of Illustration at the Barbican Creative Hub. It’s all about helping artists and creatives find their voice in the world of commercial illustration and recognising their own individual pathway into this exciting and vast area of the creative arts.
You will receive focussed feedback on a piece of work created in response to a set brief, which will be supplied before the session*. In a safe and supportive environment, critical, industry focussed support and feedback will be given to help elevate your work and get it ready to be sent out into the world with the aim of getting you a commission.
Competitions are a great way to get your work in front of a wider audience as well as receive recognition for your practice. This session will also cover how to prepare your work for competitions, and we will look at the various Illustration competitions available and discuss how to make sure your work has the potential to win.
