Full ADOPT Grant: Round 10
End Date: 02/12/2026
The Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra), working in partnership with Innovate UK through the Farming Innovation Programme, is investing up to £5 million through Full ADOPT Grant: Round 10. The programme supports collaborative on-farm trials and experiments that test innovative ideas and solutions under real farming conditions.
Projects must address significant on-farm or immediate post-farmgate challenges and demonstrate potential to improve productivity, resilience, sustainability or progress towards net zero farming. Successful projects must also show how their findings could benefit other farmers, growers and foresters across England.
Eligible projects must have total costs between £50,000 and £200,000, run for between six and 24 months, start by 1 April 2027 and finish by 31 March 2029. Lead applicants must be active farming, growing or forestry businesses based in England and must collaborate with at least one other farming, growing or forestry business based in the UK.
The competition allows collaboration with businesses, universities, charities, public sector organisations and research organisations. Applications are submitted through the Innovation Funding Service (IFS) and assessed competitively.
