Growth Cohorts: Next-gen low carbon concrete cohort entry Round 2 is a competition delivered by Innovate UK to support innovative UK businesses developing solutions that help decarbonise the concrete industry. The programme forms part of a wider initiative designed to help high-potential businesses accelerate growth, secure investment and bring innovative low-carbon technologies to market.
Successful applicants will join a dedicated Growth Cohort and receive a tailored package of funding and support. During this first stage, businesses will work with a dedicated Cohort Manager to identify development opportunities, establish growth targets and create a commercially focused innovation and growth plan. Participants will also benefit from networking opportunities, investor engagement and exploration of international markets.
The competition is open to UK-registered businesses of any size applying individually. Projects must last six months, start by 1 June 2027 and end by 30 November 2027. Applicants must submit a video pitch as part of their application.
Projects must request exactly £54,400. This comprises up to £50,000 grant funding towards eligible costs and £4,400 of non-claimable in-kind support from Innovate UK Business Connect. Businesses that successfully complete Stage 1 may become eligible to apply for additional funding and support through the invite-only Stage 2 competition.
