Tech Nation: NextWave 2026

Tech Nation has opened applications for its Next Wave Competition, a national pitch programme designed for early-stage UK tech start ups.

The scheme provides companies with national exposure, access to investors and the chance to compete for investment. The programme also aims to foster connections that support growth and cross-regional collaboration within the UK tech sector.

A total of £2 million is available through the programme. Six companies will each be offered investment of £335,000. The funding can be used to support business growth and scaling activities.

The competition is open to early-stage, UK-based tech start ups, typically at pre-seed or seed stage, with strong growth ambitions. Eligible businesses must be SEIS-eligible, operate a tech-led business model, and be led by founders seeking investment and national scale.

While primarily aimed at B2B companies, B2B2C businesses may also apply if revenue is largely generated through B2B channels.
