University of Lincoln Celebrates Success of Help to Grow: Management Course for SMEs

Published on: 09/08/2023

The University of Lincoln has seen the successful completion of its inaugural Help to Grow: Management Course, with an impressive turnout of over a dozen accomplished business professionals finishing the program this Spring. Would you like to join the next cohort this October?

The Government-funded initiative, aimed at fuelling growth and development among small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs), is delivered by the Lincoln International Business School, a recipient of the Small Business Charter accreditation. This prestigious charter is bestowed upon institutions that exemplify exceptional commitment to delivering top-tier business support to SMEs. Recipients must meet stringent criteria, including a strong SME focus, provision of high-calibre services, and dedication to continuous improvement.

Sara Hutchinson, Managing Director of RISA (UK) in Grantham, praised the course, saying, "It has been absolutely fantastic for our business…with teaching by lecturers who have been there and worked in industry."

Structured to accommodate full-time work commitments, the Help to Grow: Management Course encompasses a comprehensive curriculum spanning Leadership, Innovation, Digital Adoption, Employee Engagement, Marketing, Responsible Business, and Financial Management.

A notable feature of the program is its 90% government funding, which translates to a minimal participant fee of £750. The upcoming cohort is set to commence in October 2023, and registration is now open for eager participants.
